Football Season is Over

Well we had the championship game and unfortunately did not win. We played Arlington Wildcats. The score was 13-0. It was a very very sad day. First half we didn't play so well that is when they score the 2 touchdowns, but second half we did really well. We were able to stop them from scoring, but it was too late. Even though we were runner ups for our division, we had a wonderful season and at least made it to the Championship game! That in itself is AWESOME and Kevin, the other coaches (Michael, Bill, and Brian), and the team should be very very proud of themselves!!

I'm sad that the season is over. I really get attached to the kids, coaches, and the parents. We are like one big family. Well to me we were, I'm not sure how the other parents felt. We are all, well some, out there 5 days a week in August, and then 4 days a week after that until Nov. I'm gonna miss sitting outside and enjoying the weather, and chit chatting. It was a very nice way to get out of the house and to get the kids outside running around and playing with other kids.

I can't wait until Spring, because that means it's flag football time. It's not as intense as fall tackle football. They only practice 2 days a week for an hour and we don't have to travel all over the county. They just play other teams in the league.

I'm gonna leave you with some pictures and a chant/saying the team says during practice and game days. Kevin and Michael said this little saying when they used to play football for Reston Youth as well and taught every kid they coached this.

I don't say can't (I don't say can't)
There is no excuse (there is no excuse)
When I want something done (when I want something done)
I put my brain to use (I put my brain to use)

Repeat 2x then the break down - clapping on their pads
