Snowpocalypse. Snowmaggedon

That is what the media have named the mega snow storm of 2010 in our area.  We got over 30" of snow.  It started Friday afternoon and lasted until Saturday night.  Then we got hit with more snow on Tuesday but not as much.

Unfortunately, I was not in town to get snowed in with the family during the snowpocalypse.  I was in Orlando for work.  I was supposed to fly in Saturday night but my flight got canceled and I couldn't fly out till Monday afternoon.

Kevin was prepared for the storm. He went to Costco and got lots of food and toilet paper.  He said their was hardly anything on the shelves there and lines were LONG.  I bet.  Lines are always long at Costco then add a snow storm to the mix. Oh my.  I'm glad I didn't go.

They said they had fun the first couple of days then they started getting cabin fever and felt like they were crawling on top of each other.  They couldn't wait to get out of the house.

The kids have been out of school for a week and a day because of Snowmaggedon (I wonder if they'll still be in school in July to make up for all the snow days - poor kids) and the Federal Government has been closed since last Friday afternoon til today. Kevin had to go back to work. :-(  I didn't have to go today because our Executive Director closed the office for the week.

This snow storm has been the cause of a lot of people losing their electricity for days, roofs caving in in stores and fire depts, trees falling into peoples homes, NOTHING in the grocery stores, and everything shutting down early.
