Celebrity Crushes

I remember when I was about Kierra's age, every time I went to the store with my parents, my first stop and only stop (if I can get away from them for a quick second) was to look at the latest Tiget Beat or Teen Beat Magazine.  I then had to beg my parents to buy it for me. I absolutely had to have it since I did not have enough posters hanging on the wall of Kirk Cameron, Corey Haim, River Phoenix, and later in the years it was New Kids On The Block.  I had my room covered with them.  They were just so cute. (squeal)

Now, when I bring Kierra to the store with me, the first thing she says is " Mom, I'll be looking at the magazines" and runs off.  When I get there she has all sorts of Tiger Beat and Teen Beat magazines out squealing as she flips through the pages. She and Myah have their room walls, door, and closets, decorated with posters of Justin Bieber (singer), Taylor Lautner (Jacob from Twilight), Chris Brown (singer), and Nick Jonas (youngest brother of the Jonas Brothers).  If she sees them on TV, she is grinning ear to ear, squeeling and telling every one around her to hush so she doesn't miss a word of what they are saying. I over hear her and friends talk about them and the latest song by Justin or movie Taylor was in or show Nick was in. It's very funny to hear them gush over their celebrity crushes.  I guess it's because I did the exact same thing when I was her age and now my daughter is doing it too. I just smile.  It's very cute.

P.S.  I do have to admit she has pretty good taste. Mom approves. :-)
