Haunted Forest

OH MY GOODNESS!  This forest was SOOOOOO scary!

Last Saturday night a group of us which consisted of our family, the Kidwells, and the Jacksons, plus two of Kevin Lee's friends Marvin and Rodney, decided to go to the Haunted Forest.  Because we had some really young ones, we decided to let the older kids, 7 total, go first and then once they came out us adults would go.  Well since one of the moms decided not to go we were able to go in right away but we let about 2 other groups go before us.

So the older kids go first.  As soon as they entered the curtain, 3 ran back.  Kevin was one of them.  I told him he better go back in.  I paid for him and I can't get my money back, the other two wants to walk with us.  He runs back in.  I see two more kids from our group running back.  One was just dropping the other off.  He ran back to try to catch up to the rest of his group.

Our turn comes up.  There is a total of 5 adults and 4 kids (3 of them where supposed to go in the first group).  The path is not really marked or lit.  They give you one dim flashlight per group.  You really feel like your lost in the woods and then out of nowhere something pops out and walks towards you or chases you. Then they stop and you walk some more and when you are least expecting it that's when something scary or gross jumps out.  It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk through it. I couldn't really hang on to Kevin cause he was holding on to Kierra and trying to calm her down.  Every time something jumped out I screamed, held on tight to the person next to me, and buried my face in their arm or back or anything, and stopped walking.

Kevin and Angie kept having to remind me to keep walking and to look.  So I said alright I will start looking from now on.

Then we see strobe lights and hear chainsaws. Then you see one guy in a mask and chainsaw walking towards us, another on the side, and another behind us.  I screamed so loud  and  I don't know what happened but Kevin, Kierra, Rodney, and I fall.  Kevin and Kierra are able to get up but for some reason I'm having trouble then I just freeze and don't know what to do.  Rodney kept trying to get up but I keep pulling him down (there is no "save your self" with me.  If I'm down you will be too), meanwhile the 3 guys keep walking towards us. I'm scooting backwards terrified and screaming.  Rodney manages to escape and I'm stuck. (NOW I know how those girls feel in the scary movies when they can't move-cuz that was me). The 3 guys keep inching closer and closer reving up their chainsaws. I was almost in tears. So, if it wasn't for Kevin and Dre I probably would have passed out. I had to get rescued.

So sad. So scary.

But I continued on through the forest with my eyes open (sometimes) the rest of the way.

Afterwards, we talked to the older kids, most of them weren't scared.  They did however waited for the group behind them to catch up and asked if they can walk with them. So they did.

Even though it was scary it was super fun and I would definately do it again next year. They did an amazing job.

These pictures are from their website.
