A Day at the Beach

Kevin spent a week at the beach (Outer Banks, NC) with a family friend of ours. Because we were leaving early on Sunday to go camping in NY, we had to drive down to the beach to pick up Kevin. So we left on Friday night, spent the day at the beach on Saturday and left early Sunday morning.

It was a gorgeous day to be at the beach.

The waves were perfect for boogie boarding and just staying in and jumping the waves.

The boys got tired after a while and decided to relax on the sand.

After the beach we went back to the house and the kids got in the hot tub and the pool.

Alex and his friends cooked on the grill - steak, pork, chicken, beans and rice, and chicken hearts. These Brazilians sure know how to grill. It was delicious!
Here are the kids enjoying their chicken heart kabobs. YUP! CHICKEN HEARTS. They loved them. I couldn't eat one. I hope they don't expect me to put this on our dinner menu. :-)
