Dad In Town

My dad came to visit us over the weekend. We were supposed to pick him up Friday evening, but his flight kept getting delayed from NY, I guess because of the storms, so he didn't get in town until 4am in the morning. We met up with him Saturday morning and spent all day and night together shopping, catching up, and eating. The kids loved spending time with him and he enjoyed it as well. Terrell was in "awe" that he finally met his grandpa. The rest of the kids were on cloud 9 the whole day. Kevin Lee even missed the weigh in for football because he did not want to miss a minute from being with his grandpa.

Walking in the mallHere we are at my house waiting for Kevin to get back so we can go out to dinner. In the meantime, my dad was showing us some pictures of the triplets (Annalisa, Gabriel, and Gregory) and Renza.

Sunday morning we picked him up and went to Dunkin Donuts before we took him to the airport. It was hard for all us to say good bye to him. I did cry when we had to leave him there. I missed him so much.

We didn't have a lot of time to spend with each other as I would have liked- I wish it could have been MUCH MUCH longer, but I'm very HAPPY with the time we did have. Hopefully it will not be another 6 years til we see each other again.

Oh I cried looking at the pictures of all of you saying goodbye. How wonderful that you were able to visit. Sounds like a trip to Italy is in order!

I am so happy you got to see your dad! When my parents were in Italy I'd see my mom once a year and my dad every 2-3 years. Those pictures were so sweet, I cried looking at them since I know all too well how hard those good-byes are.
