The Kids Are Back In Town

And boy did I miss them!!

For the past two weeks the kids spent time with their Grandma Boulware down in SC and Myah spent time with Grandma Nicodemus here in town. All four kids had a wonderful time spending alot of quality time with their grandmas. The two grandma's were very excited and enjoyed every minute with them as well.

While in South Carolina the kids did alot. They volunteered at a Children's Home - played with the kids there, went bowling, took sewing lessons at Aunt Connie's shop and made 2 pillows, went to the movies, spent time with their cousins, played with the next door neighbor kids before they moved, went to a family reunion in Gastonia and volunteered - served everyone food, watched their first black and white movie and loved it, watched alot of episodes of Touched By An Angel and loved it as well, showed the Michael Jackson concert to everyone that wanted to watch it, Kierra learned how to cook scrambled eggs, Kevin learned how to cook Cream of Wheat, Terrell learned how to make Jello-O, Mama's friend Jordan came by the house and read them her new book called Jordanka, and just relaxed and had QT with Mama.

Myah was pretty busy as well. She was able to spend time with her friends that are in Grandma's neighborhood, spent alot of time with her mom and Grandma, went to Kings Dominion with her friends, shopped and relaxed.

Kevin and I had a wonderful two weeks. It was absolutely lovely. Even though I did miss all the kids, it was nice to come home to a quiet house and just do absolutely nothing. I was really really LAZY. I didn't have to worry about making big meals, not hear "Mommy" every 5 minutes, or didn't have to worry about cleaning up every night - because well...there was nothing to clean up. :-) Don't get me wrong, I still did the laundry, fold clothes and do the dishes, and vacuum, but just not a whole lot of it. Kevin and I got to just hang out and RELAX! It was a great vacation - even though we did work during the day.

We are very grateful to our mothers for giving us that much needed break!
