It started off Friday night with a family friend (the Jacksons) of ours coming over to the house to play a game of spades. Our kids and theirs are about the same age so it is perfect when our two families get together. They all get along so well. We ended up playing spades and talking the night away till 3am. It was so much fun!! I haven't done that or stayed up that late in ages.
Then Saturday, Kevin, his friend Kris, and Big Kevin went with Alex and Kyle, for Kyle's birthday, to play paintball. While they did that I took the others and the Jacksons son Traevon and nephew Kevon to watch Toy Story 3 in 3D. I absolutely loved that movie!! It is a must see!!
Afterwards, we met Angie for lunch and later on met up with her and her husband at the Reston Festival. The kids got to ride some rides and danced the night away while we watched a New Orleans/Zydeco band perform. During the band's water breaks, a DJ played music to keep the party going. Well, he ended up playing a Michael Jackson song. And you know what that meant? Kevin Lee was about to shut the place down and that he did. He started doing his MJ moves and a huge crowd just started to form a circle around him. They loved him!! It was crazy. He did his thing though. The rest of the night the kids had fun doing the cha cha slide and dancing with each other.
Sunday was Fathers Day. We spent the day relaxing with Kevin and took him out for dinner to one of his favorite places - Fridays. :-)
And that was our fun filled weekend.
