Summer Vacation. Part 1.

We went to Pompano Beach, FL for our summer vacation this year.  We had wanted to go to Mrytle Beach, SC but because Kevin and I like to procrastinate, the only available space left was Pompano Beach.  So we said we will take it.  It was an 18 hour drive.  We split it up in to two days.  We drove to Janice's house in SC and stayed the night then the next day drove about 10 hours to FL.

The resort was very beautiful but where we were at in town - not so much.  If we ever go back we'll be sure to stay at one of the resorts that is on the beach.

The first few days we lounged, slept, watched TV, and read. It was soooo relaxing. Mostly because of the rain.  It would come and go.  When it stopped the kids took advantage of that to go to the pool for a quick second, hang out in the activities center, play basketball or play mini golf.  We did go out driving around town.  Took a drive to the beach even though it was raining which was about 5 miles from where we stayed.
