Books I Read in 2010

I can't believe I read 9 books last year.  I have NEVER read so much in my life.  I love reading! This quote explains it all "The greatest gift is a passion for reading.  It is cheap, it consoles, it distracts, it excites, it gives you knowledge of the world and experience of a wide kind.  It is a moral illumination."

Here are the books I read and recommend them all.

1.  The Help. I laughed, cried, and even got upset a few times. 

2.  Say You're One of Them.  A collection of 5 long stories of the horrors faced by young children throughout Africa. Sad. It was hard to read but still good.

3. The Bluest Eyes.  Depressing read but really good.  I loved it. Toni Morrison's writing is so beautiful.  I can't wait to read more of her books.

4. Water For Elephants.  We follow Jacob and his life in the Circus during the Depression-era America. They made this book into a movie.  Enjoyed this a lot.

5.  After the Leaves Fall.  A young girl's struggle with loss, love, identity and faith.  Enjoyed it.

6.  Heaven and Hell:  The Journey of Chris and Serena Davis (Tears of Heaven Series #1)  My favorite!!  I absolutely loved this book.  You will not be dissapointed. The author's imagination is unbelievable.  Very descriptive. Wow!!

7.  The War in Heaven (Tears of Heaven Series #2).  Loved this one too.  Awesome.

 8.  Rise of the Beast (Tears of Heaven Series #3).  Another one I loved.  Kept me on the edge.  Couldn't put it down. I hope this is not the last of the series.

 9.  Exile of Lucifer (Chronicles of the Host Series). The Angels in Heaven before Lucifer was cast out of Heaven. Enjoyed it very much. Can't wait to finish reading this series.
