My Trip to the Lone Star State

In February I had to go to Grapevine, TX for work.  I was very excited about going.  For one I have never been to Texas before and for two, one of my best friend moved there about 2 years ago.  She moved to Ft. Worth.  So since I had to go for work, I extended my stay a couple of days, our other good friend Allison flew out and we got to spend a couple of days together like the old times.

They picked me up Saturday afternoon from my hotel and went to Elizabeth's house in Ft. Worth.  It was just like old times.  Talking, laughing, watching movies, and just relaxing and enjoying each other's company.

Sunday Elizabeth took us to the stockyards to see some longhorns and cowboys.  That was very very cool.  I'm glad she took us.  We had a great time.  We saw the cattle drive, got lost in a maze, ate some good food (I tried fried pickles for the first time and it was DELISH!), and went shopping.

They even had me try frozen pickle pops.  I was nervous.  But it turned out - I really really liked it.  It was just like pickle juice.  Mmmmmm.....

I am so happy that it all worked out and that the three of us got to hang out again.  It was a lot of fun.  Looking forward to our next visit.

While I was there for work, we took our members to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium for dinner and a tour.  It was a huge stadium.  It looked like the MotherShip of Arlington, TX.  It was very beautiful inside.  Too bad the football field wasn't there when we were there.  They were setting up for a monster jam truck/car show.
