Christmas has come and gone

I can't believe how fast Christmas just comes and goes. I guess the countdown begins for next year's Christmas. I always say this every year but I really think this year I will stick to it - I am going to start my Christmas shopping in the summer....so I am not out on Christmas Eve buying presents. It stresses me out.

Anyway....we had a very lovely Christmas. On Christmas Eve we went to the Candlelight Service at our church and that was just beautiful. A friend of ours and her son was able to join us as well. The band played some beautiful music and then the pastor talked about the real reason for Christmas and that is JESUS. We must share the good news!!

Michael came by our house early Christmas morning and soon after the kids woke up very excited to see what Santa brought for them. They enjoyed all the gifts Santa brought and what everyone else gave them. We are all very thankful!!! They couldn't wait to tear into everything and begin playing with it all. After opening presents here at our house we went to Lola's house (my mom) and ate lunch and opened more presents. We enjoyed each others company but boy was I tired just from trying to get the toys out of their boxes! They really make you work for it. There must be an easier way to package those toys or to get those toys out! My goodness.

I don't have much planned for the rest of the week but to just RELAX!!! Kevin and I both have off, which is really nice. We'll probably watch movies, do activities with the kids, I'll probably clean and try to declutter, read, and relax some. Can't wait to do nothing and sleep in late!!
