Dear 2009

Dear 2009,

I can't believe this is our last day. The year sure did fly by. We enjoyed watching the beautiful snowflakes coming down, fresh flowers, warm breezes, the cold water of the pool to cool us down on the hot and humid days,  the cool breezes and the changing colors of the leaves.  It was all so very beautiful. You have been a good year to us. Like most years we had a lot of smiles, laughter, birthdays, worries, tears, trials, visits, firsts, learning, travels, surprises, forgiveness, excitement, accomplishments, and so on.

Some of our 2009 highlights:

~Terrell started Kindergarten

~Kierra got her first instrument - viola

~Kevin got the shingles

~Myah got her braces removed

~Kevin and Kevin's football team made it to the Championship

~My dad came to visit after not seeing him for 6 years

~One of my best friends moved far far away to a place called Texas

~We went on our first camping trip in NY with some family friends

~Went to the Outer Banks for the weekend

~Was introduced to Twilight and fell in love with the books

~ The kids learned to jump off the diving board

~Kids had lots and lots of sleepovers with their good friends

~I tried my first Zumba class and loved it

~Myah turned 13

~Kevin turned 11

~Kierra turned 9

~Terrell turned 5

~Kids spent 2 weeks with their Grandma

~Read Mark of the Lion series - Best books EVER!

~President Barack Obama was inaugurated

~Michael Jackson died

~The beginning of Myah's last year in Middle School

~The beginning of Kevin's last year in Elem. School

~The beginning of the last year all 3 kids will be in the same school

~Swine flu broke out, but thankfully none of us got it.

We will miss you 2009 but will not forget our year we had. God is good!!  We are looking forward to year 2010 and what God has planned for us.
