Christmas Eve we attended our Candlelight Service at church. It was beautiful. They had a special guest sing a song called "It Was Not a Silent Night" and it was absolutely beautiful. I was crying in church. I'm trying to find it on youtube but not having any luck. Kevin thinks she might have written it herself. If I find it, I will post it up here, because you all have to hear it.
After the service we came home, watched the video from Santa, and then the kids went to bed. As always, I wait until the last minute to wrap the gifts so I was up till 1am watching White Christmas and wrapping presents.
At the crack of dawn the kids were up eager to open their presents, but they had to wait for Grandma and Auntie to come over. Surprisingly, they were very patient. Well.....it was kind of hard for Terrell. Every minute he kept asking if he can open just one. Who could blame him. Poor kid. I don't think I ever had to wait for hours to open my presents when I was younger. That would have been hard for me.
Here is a picture of our tree Christmas morning.
Keep in my mind these are gifts for 10 people. Not all for the kids.
The kids were surprised, happy, and thankful for their presents.
Here is Terrell opening up his present from his brother Kevin.
And then giving him this huge hug
because of this gift
It was very sweet.
Here are Kevin, Kierra and Myah opening up their presents.
The girls screamed for joy when they got the Justin Bieber CD and Kevin was very surprised when he opened one of his presents and found this:
What a great picture of MJ. Lola even wants one.
After we opened our presents we all went to the International House of Pancakes to eat brunch. The rest of the day was spent playing games, watching movies, and relaxing.
A grandiose day it was!!
