Our Advent Calendar

For this years advent calendar I printed pictures of a christmas tree, reindeer, star, and a mitten.  I had the kids cut it out to use as a template.  Then they traced it on colored paper twice, and cut those out.  Then they stapled it leaving an opening at the top so that I can insert a piece of paper of what we will be doing that night. They numbered each one for the date.  Then I taped it to the door in the shape of a christmas tree.  Every day the kids go to the day and pull out the paper to see what fun thing we will be doing. 

A few things we will be doing are:

put up our christmas tree and decorations

have hot chocolate

read verses from the bible

drive around looking at christmas lights

go christmas shopping

watch a christmas movie
